When you book Montusi for your wedding you book the whole of Montusi. This means the lodge and the 1000 hectares of conservation estate just for your dream Drakensberg wedding and celebration. 

This includes the beautiful panoramic vistas, dams, fields, and romantic ambiance that comes with the setting of the lodge.

You don’t have to worry about other people peering into your wedding ceremony or the celebrations being too loud.

It’s all yours! That means we can tailor-make the experience to suit your every whim.

Located just 3.5 hours from Durban, Johannesburg and Bloemfontein, Montusi is the ideal wedding venue in the Drakensberg for your guests to come together to celebrate your special day.

Booking Procedures

To confirm the date, we require a non-refundable deposit of
R40 000.00.

Once the deposit is received, the wedding date is secure and we block-book the entire lodge.

The accommodation can be settled by the wedding party or the wedding guests. However, if there is a shortfall of the minimum charge, the bride and groom will cover the shortfall.

All accommodation, food and the venue fees must be paid 30 days before the wedding date.

We have instituted a Mandatory Gratuity for exclusive events. This is calculated on a sliding scale, depending on the size of the event. The minimum Mandatory Gratuity is R5 000.00. This goes directly to the staff.

All other costs (drinks and unforeseen) must be settled before departure.

Any significant damages caused by the wedding party or guests will be charged to the bride and groom’s account.

Drinks at Wedding Reception Cost price + 20% + VAT.  Corkage = R50 per bottle

Officiant, DJ, photographer, videographer, hair and makeup, flowers, marquee and draping, special decor.

The team at Montusi are the finest in industry and truly just the best people around. Nothing was too much effort and no detail was overlooked. Our wedding weekend was a celebration from start to end thanks to the team and care at Montusi. The warmth and welcomeness that Montusi carries left us and our guests wishing the weekend would never end.
